The Drop Pebble Necklace is cast in sterling silver from an actual pebble.  Designer and maker Jessie Morrow found the pebble on her walks along the beaches of Orcas Island where Material Wit is based.

 This necklace is a part of Material Wit's new F O U N D Collection.  Inspired by her walks along the coast of beautiful Orcas Island, Jessie chose a handful of smooth slate beach stone to create this simple and timeless collection.  Also included in the collection are some hand-forged pieces representing the waters interaction with the pebbles on the shoreline. 

The jewelry in the F O U N D collection is designed and made in-house by Jessie and her assistant using traditional metal-smithing techniques and responsible studio practices.  The castings in this collection are produced in Portland, OR.  If you are ever on Orcas Island, WA come visit Jessie at her studio show room and lifestyle shop Material Wit in Eastsound.

Do you offer half or quarter sizes on rings?

Yes, we can make half and quarter sizes on rings. To order a custom size, please leave an order note in your shopping cart before checking out.
Can I purchase sold-out jewelry items?

For most pieces, yes. Please email us at info@materialwit.com with the item and size you’d like to order. Depending on the piece, expect a 2–6 week lead time.
How do I care for my jewelry?

For gold and gold-plated jewelry:

  • Avoid wearing while swimming, bathing, or exercising as water and sweat can wear down finishes.
  • Avoid direct contact with harsh chemicals such as chlorine, perfume, or cleaning products.

For sterling silver jewelry:

  • Avoid exposure to hot springs, as the sulfur can tarnish silver.
