Artist Statement
There is this continuous helplessness that seems to flow through my subconscious and spill out into my work. My paintings, for the first time, have become intuitive rather than calculated. See I sit in front of a blank canvas with the vision of color and tune out while watching my hands dance with the brushes to create the seascapes in front of you. I like control and lately I've felt disorderly, like I'm drifting through a storm I cannot curb so for now I will be swept away in the sea and paint my restless feelings.
