Our Coastal Collection is an abstract reflection of forms found along the beaches of Orcas Island—existing somewhere between life and decay. Unlike something newly born, these forms live and die on the lower crest, giving in, letting go. There’s strength and beauty in the grit and slow falling of life.

Inspired by ocean textures shaped through elemental forces, artist Jessie Morrow explores how objects once mathematically perfect and expansive—even self-replicating—gradually decay under the pressure of water, wind, and earth, slowly giving way to nothingness.

Many of us are drawn to these weathered remnants, perhaps because we recognize the release necessary for transformation. A little chaos, a little destruction, is part of it all. The pieces in this collection honor the shifting textures of nature’s movement, erosion, and rebirth.
